Why anxiety feels so bad and what you can do about it

Experiential avoidance is the technical term for when we try to fight or struggle against our internal state. Anxiety brings about incredibly uncomfortable sensations, so it makes all the sense in the world why we might not like to feel that way. However, when we fight, avoid, or try to make it go away (i.e. experientially avoid), we paradoxically make our anxiety much worse! There are many ways to "lean into" your anxiety and allow it to be. Int his video, I talk about a powerful tool called mindful observation.
